Are you using the food saver bags instead of the gallon bags? How does that work? Do they still work with the jokari bag holders? Still new at this. Thanks
I’m using both. I’m still getting the hang of using the foodsaver bags with meals that have a lot of liquid. They work with the baggy holders. I fold over the top of the bags so they 1) are thicker at the top (easier to grab) and 2) stay clean for vacuum sealing. Hope this helps!
Hi! I have a food saver that I love as well, but I still don’t like using it with liquids. Right now I use the vac & seal setting (sometimes I stop the vacuum early), and then run the seal setting a second time to hopefully seal through the liquid. Since you posted this, have you found any helpful techniques to keep too much of the liquid from being vacuumed up? I would much prefer to vac seal instead of my mom’s method of using gallon baggies and then sucking up the extra air through a straw (you get some… Read more »
do u receive a commission if i purchase thru amazon.ca. (i’m guessing you probably don’t) but unfortunately if i purchase thru amazon.com the price is in US funds which, given the current exchange rate, makes items rather more expensive. i would love to see you get a commission from anything i purchase but…….
